The quickest radial tyre passes outright and on 235s the highlight of testing ahead of race day at Kenda 660 Drag Radial Series Braggin’ Rights coming to you from Willowbank Raceway.
John Ricca was quick to make a statement with the quickest 1/8th mile radial pass ever in Australia. Ricca made the switch from big tyre to radial tyre for the event and just on his third pass thumped the Australian Outlaw Radial record with a 3.50s romp.
Meanwhile the small tyre duel between Cameron Riley and Scott Cortina was on like Donkey Kong. Riley dropped the 235 tyre mark into the 4.30s for first time before Cortina nipped him by a couple thousandths with a 4.394.
Unfortunately poor weather put a close on testing for Friday evening and the planned shootout. Racing rumbles to life with qualifying from 8am Saturday at Willowbank Raceway.
