Australian performance technology leader Haltech has joined forces with the National Drag Racing Championship as naming rights partner of the 2026 Haltech East Coast Nationals.

The partnership brings together two brands firmly connected to Australian performance and drag racing, with the Haltech East Coast Nationals set to take over Sydney Dragway on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September.
Founded in Australia, Haltech has grown to become one of the world’s leading names in engine management and performance technology, with its products used across an enormous range of competition vehicles in Australia and around the world.
Drag racing has long been an important part of the Haltech story. From grassroots racers and workshops through to some of the country’s quickest and most sophisticated race cars, Haltech technology is already deeply embedded within the Australian drag racing community.
That connection makes the partnership with the NDRC and one of its biggest events a natural fit. Haltech Marketing Manager Richard Shumack said the East Coast Nationals provided an opportunity for Haltech to strengthen its connection with racers, teams and performance enthusiasts.
“Drag racing has always been a big part of Haltech. Our products are developed for performance, precision and giving racers the control and data they need to get the very best from their combinations, so there is a really strong connection between what we do and the people who compete in and follow this sport.”
“The East Coast Nationals is a major event on the Australian drag racing calendar and, being held right here in Sydney, it’s a fantastic fit for Haltech. We’re excited to put our name behind the event and work with the NDRC to deliver a huge weekend for racers and fans.”

NDRC Director Andy Lopez said welcoming Haltech as naming rights partner was particularly significant given the company’s long-standing connection to Australian motorsport.
“Haltech is one of those brands that genuinely belongs in the drag racing paddock. They understand racers, they understand performance and their technology is already being used by competitors throughout the sport. That authenticity is really important to us. We want NDRC partners who are invested in Australian drag racing and can see where the sport is heading, and Haltech absolutely fits that brief.”
“The Haltech East Coast Nationals is going to be one of the biggest weekends of our 2026 season, and having an Australian performance brand of Haltech’s calibre take naming rights makes the event even stronger.”
The Haltech East Coast Nationals will bring two massive days of championship drag racing to Sydney Dragway, featuring BLAHST Top Fuel and XPRO Nitro Funny Car, alongside Top Doorslammer, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Pro Alcohol, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Top Fuel Motorcycle and the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship.
The event will also mark the final opportunity for Sydney fans to see nitro racing in 2026, adding even more significance to the September showdown.
The Haltech East Coast Nationals takes place at Sydney Dragway on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026.
