Drag racing is set to roar back into life at Perth Motorplex, with the venue unveiling a massive 12-major event, 16-night 2026/27 championship season.
Under the guidance of newly appointed Drag Racing Manager Rod Britton, Perth Motorplex has locked in a full calendar of competition, promising a season packed with championship racing and the high-powered entertainment the Kwinana venue has become renowned for.
Britton said he could not wait to see drag racing return to the Motorplex and issued a call to racers to dust off their cars and prepare for a new season.
“I can’t wait to see Drag Racing return to Perth Motorplex this season!” Britton said.
“It’s time to get in the garage and throw the dust covers away. The fire-up signal awaits — unleash the beasts and let drag racing rip in WA!”
The 2026/27 calendar features 12 major drag racing events spread across 16 nights of competition, with full event line-ups and additional information to be released in the coming weeks, these include Test & Tunes, Fast Friday’s Whoop Ass Wednesday still to be added to the calendar.
The season also brings the opportunity for racers and fans to secure season memberships, with Perth Motorplex set to launch a range of new membership deals ahead of the new campaign.

With the dates now locked in, the countdown is officially on for the return of championship drag racing at Perth Motorplex with the refurbishment of the track venue rapidly racing towards completion.
