SNOT ROCKET 2.0 IS HERE BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Few cars have made as big an impression on the American drag-and-drive scene as Snot Rocket 2.0, but the iconic green Mustang is about to embark on a whole new adventure. Now in Australian hands of Anthony Mesko and Tommy Pronobis of Dyno House, the former Brett LaSala machine is set for a radical transformation that will see it trade its twin-turbo V8 power for a distinctly Aussie Barra combination.

Previously powered by a twin-turbocharged Ford Coyote V8 producing close to 3,000 horsepower, Snot Rocket 2.0 rewrote the Drag & Drive record books across the U.S. LaSala dominated Sick Week, taking the Modified class victory two years straight and setting a remarkable 6.34-second average in 2024.

Now, the Mustang is set to trade its American V8 combination for something a little closer to home: a turbocharged Ford Barra. Mesko and Pronobis plan to transplant the 3.8-litre Barra combination from Mesko’s 2,500-horsepower FPV F6 ute into the Mustang.

Snot Rocket 2.0 with the Aussie update will debut in J275 at the Melbourne Jamboree which will kick off the first major event for the revitalised Victorian Motorsports Park venue on Oct 17.
