The National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) and The Bend have made the decision to reschedule the Spring Nationals NDRC Grand Final to November 20 – 22 due to this weekend’s poor weather forecast.
With multiple national championship titles on the line, the decision has been made early with fans and racers in mind.
The Bend will contact all purchasers directly with ticketing information. All spectator and competitor tickets are automatically valid for the new dates. No action is required from ticket holders.
If you are unable to attend, email Outix at support@outix.co with your ticketing information including the name and email of the person who made the booking and they will process a refund less booking fees.
Thank you to our friends at the Perth Motorplex who have agreed to move the Goldenstates so that Doorslammer and Sportsman racers in the running for an NDRC title are free to compete at the Grand Final. Revised dates for the Goldenstates will be announced soon.
The event program for the revised dates remains the same as originally published with BLAHST Top Fuel, XPRO Nitro Funny Car, the Aeroflow Sportsman Championship and Group 1 categories all starring at the rescheduled event.
“It is disappointing to have to postpone an event, especially when drag racing fans, racers, and sponsors have made preparations to be part of an incredible national level competition at Australia’s best motorsport facility,” said The Bend Motorsport Park Managing Director Dr Sam Shahin. “We want to deliver a memorable drag racing experience. The effort spent preparing the dragway for the SPRY Spring Nationals will all be worth it when Australia’s fastest racers hit the track over four days of world-class competition in November.”
“The weather’s not on our side this week, so rescheduling is the only call we could make for our racers and fans. The SPRY Spring Nationals in November will be the grand final the racers deserve … a massive showdown with most national championships coming down to the line at The Bend,’ said NDRC promoter Andy Lopez.
