With the focus on tough street machines King Of The Street events have returned to the refurbished Victorian Motorsports Park where racers can throw down in heads up racing to see who will be crowned king.
The rules are simple as it gets, anything goes as long as it’s street registered. Brackets race over 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile heads up on a pro tree though for there is a class for your Dial Your Own competitors as well.

With the threat of impending wet weather, the event rearanged the schedule to finish just shy of the heavens opening up.
“What a weekend! After all the stress and uncertainty around the weather, we managed to get it done without a single drop of rain during the day! With everyone watching the forecast all week, we couldn’t have asked for a better result!
First up, a MASSIVE thank you to the entire Victorian Motorsports Park (VMP) team. What you guys have achieved with the track in such a short amount of time is absolutely incredible. You’ve done a killer job getting the facility to where it is today, and we can’t wait to come back!
A huge congratulations to all our winners and runners-up! We saw some seriously tough cars, close racing and awesome performances across every class.” said KOTS organisers.

The Open Class final delivered the day’s headline race, with Sherif Tawaf edging Adam Rogash in a near 200mph ¼-mile battle. Both drivers charged deep into the sevens, but Tawaf’s 7.511-second pass at 196.76 mph was enough to beat Rogash’s 7.571 at 194.09 mph.
It was a incredible finish and a fitting way to close out the class.

The other winners were Donnie Zurcas in the 255 & Under ⅛-mile class, Scott De Groot in 275 & Under, Kenny Perry in DYO Class, and Daniel ‘Batdan’ Carranza in DYO Drag Car that was specifically put on for anything goes non-street drag cars.
