Mackay Racing have refreshed their Supercharged Outlaws altered for the upcoming Perth Motorplex season and said they no longer want to be the bridesmaid in the field.
“The car has been totally refreshed over the off season with new rods, rings, pistons and a new data logger,” said Steve Mackay, father of driver Mark.
“The whole team is very focused on making sure we can capitalise on our debut season last year where we finished in the top five and are planning a top three finish this year.”
Two new sponsors have joined the team for the 2010–2011 season with ATOM Supply and JDSi Consulting Engineers coming on board.
“Both companies are very keen to see the partnership with Mackay Racing grow over the years and we are sure that with their support will be able to achieve the goals we have set ourselves for the up and coming season,” Mackay said.
“Byford Tavern is still on board as sponsor and we are supporting the Tavern as it rebuilds after a fire earlier in the year.”
Mark Mackay’s altered has more support as it aims for a Supercharged Outlaws championship.
