Who said drag racers are not athletes? At the West Coast Nitro 400 Thunder event Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors Maurice Allen and Ryan Learmonth gave new meaning to the drag racing phrase “legging” it to the finish.
During the semi final match up both Pro Stock Motorcycles broke soon after launching and what ensued was a pedalfest like never seen before. Allen pulled up furthest down track, Learmonth looked up to see Allen stranded as well and decided to hop off his machine and start pushing it down track, Allen responded and what followed was 65 seconds of hilarity as both racers pushed and rolled their machines towards the finish.
Learmonth tried a variety of techniques and closed the gap rapidly but Allen reach the finishing beams first for the win and keeling over – we think Momo needs to work on his cardio some more.
