Terry Sainty, a man who crosses between the great divide of methanol and nitro with no fear, will have a fresh new Top Alcohol Funny Car chassis and body to drive for the coming season.
Replacing the team’s ageing Pontiac, Norm Sainty purchased the new Dodge-bodied car from Craig Cook of Prime Quality Meats as a roller, with the Hemi to be replaced by a Sainty billet three valve.
The car was previously driven by Paul Madill and ran in the 5.70s during 2012 and Cook had purchased the car new from Spitzer previous to that. The team considered a shift to a newer car cheaper than updating their current car to more modern specs.
