WA’s Jodi Racco is forming part of the four car Pro Stock field this weekend at Adelaide International Raceway for the ANDRA Grand Finals with his beautiful Holden Monaro.
Racco was on track earlier in the week for some testing and his first passes at the Adelaide venue and he rated the surface highly after the first qualifying session.
“The track was killer for Q1 and I was able to go 5.91/171 mph to 1000 feet. This put us in P2 with Bektash P1 5.86/171mph,” he said.
“In round two we shook and Lee was the only one to get down, improving with a 5.84 at a massive 179.53.
“For round three with a cooling track we ran another 5.91, moving around with a bit of a wild ride. Lee was again improving with a 5.82.”
Should positions hold, Racco is set to face Chris Soldatos in round one while Bektash would face Gerry Parente. The Pro Stock teams have a compulsory qualifying session first up on Saturday rather than a first round due to the low numbers.
“We are rapt to to be in this position with one more chance to improve in Q4. With no broken parts, except of course the usual valve springs, the crew and I will get some well earned rest ready to battle it out,” Racco said.
