After a busy few weeks in Adelaide and Melbourne, the Gulf Western Oil-supported Team Bray Racing is now being called home for the Santo’s Super Thunder event presented by Uplift Cranes and Titan Cranes.
TBR’s Victor and Ben Bray will be joined by fellow Pro Slammer racers Jason Donnelly and Andrew Searle at Willowbank Raceway. The quartet will put on an exhibition show for the fans this Good Friday as part of the 400 Thunder event, which boasts more than 200 competitors across its entry list.
“We are certainly under the pump to make it to this Easter extravaganza, but we wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Team Principal Victor Bray said.
“We only got back from Melbourne yesterday and the truck leaves tomorrow to head out to the track for final servicing and set-up on our Gulf Western Oil Pro Slammers before the Friday event.
“We had hoped to test some new components while on-track this Friday, but with such a tight turnaround it really is a race against time to get the new parts – which also only just arrived – onto the GWO Pro Slammers in time.
“With the event kicking off at 8.00am, there is absolutely no spare time up our sleeve. It might be a rush, but as a home event for us we just couldn’t say no to the chance to put on a show for our local fans who support us so much across the year.
“We will be on-track at 4.00pm, 6.30pm and 10.00pm – we hope to see you there!”
This weekend’s Santo’s Thunder event comes after a busy few weeks for the TBR crew, with competition in Adelaide followed by appearances at Melbourne’s Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo in support of valued sponsors Eagle Products,Gates, Century Batteries and Gulf Western Oil.
“It was a real honour to be a part of this massive AAAA Expo in support of those who support us,” Ben Bray said.
“A show put on exclusively for the trade, there were more than 430 exhibitors at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and more than 11,000 visitors pre-registered to attend the show – needless to say, we were kept very busy over the three days!
“It was an honour to represent for our supporters in Melbourne, and hopefully we can do so again this weekend by putting on a great show at Willowbank Raceway this Friday!”
