It will be a busy start to May for the Gulf Western Oil-supported Team Bray Racing.

On Monday the 1st, the team will head to Kempsey for a public meet and greet at the RedPoint. Straight after this appearance, the TBR truck will head to Sydney Dragway in preparation for the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder event.

Monday’s meet and greet will be held at RedPoiint – 38 Lachlan Street, Kempsey (NSW) – from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. TBR’s Victor and Ben Bray and their respective Gulf Western Oil ‘Slammers will be on-site, with the drag racing stalwarts to tell tales from their drag racing exploits and answer questions.

The Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder event will be held at Sydney Dragway across May 5-6. As the penultimate round of the 400 Thunder Series Championship, it will host not only the Pro Slammers of TBR and their compatriots, but also Top Fuel, Pro Alcohol, Top Bike, Pro Stock and Pro Bike racers. All classes will run three rounds of racing, with championship points on the line.

“It sure is going to be a busy start to May for us, but we couldn’t be happier,” TBR Team Principal Victor Bray explained.

“We always love having a chance to meet the fans and so heading to Kempsey is something we have been looking forward to. It should be a great afternoon out and a perfect start to our week which also includes the Gulf Western Oil Nitro Thunder.

“We will be heading to Sydney Dragway with some new parts in tow, which we are looking forward to trying out during the event. We had hoped to do some testing before the event but with all that has gone on in the past four weeks, including the weather, it just hasn’t been possible.”

While testing might not have eventuated before the Sydney event, TBR’s Ben Bray said that it won’t stop the team from putting on a brilliant show at the event.

“We will be throwing everything at it at Sydney Dragway – while things have been busy we have prepared very hard as always and will be doing all we can to put on a brilliant show for the fans and for our valued supporters including Gulf Western Oil who are also sponsoring the event,” the three-time champion said.

“To bring home the event win for them would be very pleasing indeed, and we won’t be leaving any stone unturned in pursuit of that goal!”
