Australia’s newest Top Doorslammer/Pro Slammer has broken cover, showing off a livery championing new marketing partners Komatsu and Mack Trucks.
The contrasting white on black scheme proves that good looks run in the family, with this ’68 Fastback following in the tyre track of its twin turbo 2014 Mustang big brother.
Paul Mouhayet and the entire MOITS team have been burning the midnight oil since the car hit Aussie shores a week ago. The car is now approaching being ready to be pushed into the team’s new transporter and head off on the long trek to their debut-outing at the coming Nitro Up North event at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Drag Strip on July 21 and 22.
Paul will be accustomed with the Proline performance that the ’68 will deliver, with his previous turbocharged ride running as quick as 5.56 @ 274 MPH.
“The turbo car runs 0.9 to the 60 foot mark and by half track is doing 217 MPH, so I know roughly what to expect when Billy turns up the blower power in the new car. The raw startline torque of the blown combo is something I am really looking forward to experiencing,” Mouhayet said.
