The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars will run pink ribbons on October 28 at Willowbank Raceway as the series offers its support to Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day.
The distinctive Pink Ribbon stickers will be on-board all the 4000 horsepower nitro cars at the Willowbank event, as the teams put on a show for the Queensland race fans.
The Pink Ribbon campaign aims to minimise the threat of women’s cancers through successful prevention, best treatment, support and world-class cancer research, as well as providing support to the many thousands of Australian women affected by breast and gynaecological cancers.
Rocket Industries and Aeroflow kick-started their Pink Ribbon Day support with the Sydney Dragway initiative and a donation plus a pledge for ongoing support.
Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars Series Manager, Morice McMillin explained, “As a series, we are honoured to be able to contribute to the cause and we want to use the tools we have (funny cars and the series) to spread the word for the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon campaign.”
“This is a cause that is very close to many of our drivers, teams, employees and fans and is something small we can contribute to this wonderful campaign.”
