After the debut of new sponsor and vehicle signage the S & S Motorsports & Trailer Sales Team are now gearing up for the annual “big go” – the Castrol Edge Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway.
“After competing in the Competition Eliminator Category at Willowbank Raceway we feel the car is now approaching its ability to be competitive, although we are under no illusions of just how tough it will be to race in ANDRA Pro Series Top Alcohol” Owner/Driver Katherine Sichter said.
Track time has paid off for the team, with numbers that should place them well into any qualifying field.
All this is due to good data collection and adapting some common sense to solving unusual issues, such as keeping the Lenco Drive Transmission cool in the heat of battle. Not normally a transmission of choice in the competitive Top Alcohol category, solutions were found from other areas, to ensure optimal performance during competition.
“What has also enabled us to make the car more competitive is the Mark Brew and the Proforce Motorsports teams support” Katherine added “the information and advice from Mark has been invaluable”
With other sponsor news coming up soon, the S&S Motorsports team are setting up for a racetrack that is traditionally “killer” – in other words will be able to hold anything the team throw at the track in the hope of coming out as a real contender in the world of ANDRA Pro Series Top Alcohol.
