One of Australia’s most well known doorslammers is coming back to the track soon in the hands of new owners.
WA’s Moresby family have purchased Robin Judd’s Studebaker, which was one of the quickest cars on the tour when it last competed almost six years ago, running in the 5.7 second zone and going within one round of defeating John Zappia for the national championship.
The Moresbys are no strangers to Top Doorslammer, with Ryan Moresby competing in his Ford Falcon (which recently qualified into the quickest field in history with a 5.87).
Ryan’s brother Stu has been driving a Ford Falcon ute in Comp and after setting some AA/Gas records the car is now up for sale. Stu said to find more pace in the ute was going to be a similar cost to shifting to Top Doorslammer, so the team decided to go big!
