The local Sydney Super Sedan track championship is arguably the toughest in the country with big fields at every round, and often heading the pack is NSW countrysider Michael Little with his unmissable yellow LJ Torana.

The former two-time Super Sedan track champion is currently leading the points again this season, but this weekend his focus will be on winning the Gulf Western Nitro Thunder event when the game steps up to include some of the best Super Sedan racers from around the country.

Little’s Torana has the winning pedigree, but his weapon of choice is by no means the latest and greatest racing chassis. The 434ci aspirated small block Chev runs a small radial tyre with virtually stock trailing arm suspension, but Little make’s it work against some big dollar competition built machinery. “Which is like taking a knife to a gunfight – sometimes it works and sometimes doesn’t,” laughed Little.

Looking ahead to this weekend and quality line up of contenders, Little is excited that the spectators will witness the best sportsman racing the country has to offer.

“With a solid entry list of tough competition in the sportsman fields, there’s definitely going to be some close racing to see for the spectators.” he said.

Qualifying for the Gulf Western Nitro Thunder event starts Friday morning with eliminations on Saturday, and will be well worth the price of admission.

Little would like to thank his sponsors M&T Little Plumbing – Forbes, Roylance’s Auto One – Forbes, St Marys Engines, Powerplus Race Fuels NSW for their help.
