The Hidden Valley Track Championship Series in now in full swing after the running of round two last weekend.
The event ran smooth with no incidents and great racing from all brackets with a bunch of new cars coming out giving a great feeling as the season progresses.
Top Eliminator was essentially a test session with only three cars Matt Abel getting some lap time ahead of what will be another huge Nitro Up North event in July along with Glenn Bull’s altered and Gary Baker’s blown HR.
All racing is conducted in a Chicago Shootout format over 3 to 5 rounds depending on the bracket and then a final, with the eliminators featuring a mix of the traditional eliminator brackets
In Super Modified the sedan had the wins over the open cars with Allan Applebee and Shane Munt to be in the final, we don’t know what happened to the big block HJ of Munt but Applebee took the win on a single.
Mark Tattingham and Colin Sainsbury both had three win from three starts heading into the Modified Bike final, Tattingham was way better on the tree in the final allowing him to cruise to a safe win on his ZX12R.
Super Street went to Tim Bryan in his XW Falcon over Craig McGregor’s LS powered Rodeo which went too quick with a 10.98 on a 11.00 break out run.
After five round of racing, Grant Radcliffe steered his big Chrysler 300C to victory in Street Car over a red lighting Lyham McKerlie.
Equally contesting as many rounds in Street Bike, Reece Tjung took home the winner’s trophy aboard his GSXR defeating the V-Rod of Gary Richards.
Finally Aiden Abel went perfect on the tree in Junior Dragster to win over Brooke Harris.
The night finished off with racers relaxing in style at the post race barbie which is becoming very popular and highlights the laid back atmosphere of racing in the Top End.
