2017 400 Thunder Pro Slammer champion Mark Belleri will be leaving the Maurice Fabietti-owned ACDelco team, with the 2018 Gulf Western Oil Winternationals announced as his last race for the outfit.
Belleri, who formerly raced his own Camaro with father Lucky, will be departing due to work and family commitments after three seasons of driving under Fabietti.
“It has been great, I really have to thank Maurice, Mary (Fabietti), my Dad and my family for letting us do this for so long,” he said. “It has been a dream come true. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end.”
Belleri’s time in the ACDelco Holden Monaro came to an end on an average note, with a red light in the semi finals of the Winternationals, though the team managed to secure third place for the 400 Thunder Pro Slammer Championship.
“We’d like to sincerely thank Mark Belleri for keeping us in the top three of the 400 Thunder Pro Slammer Championship,” the team said via their Facebook page.
“Last year Mark won the championship, this year we ended in a very respectable third place. It’s been great having Mark and his dad Lucky as part of the ‘family’, and it is a family environment around the pits where every team member plays their part. We all thank Mark and wish him well in the future.”
