400 Thunder have release their calendar for upcoming 2018/2019 Sportsman Series.
The series will open at Springmount Raceway near Cairns at an event which also hosts the popular Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car series on the 5th of August.
In a move that differs from previous seasons for Sydney Dragway, the series will split the sportsman categories across two major events starting at East Coast Thunder on November 2-3. This event will only host Super Stock, Supercharged Outlaws, Super Sedan, Modified Bike, Junior Dragster, Pro Radial and Super Gas along side a full compliment of professional classes.
On the 1st of December at Willowbank Raceway, Sportsman Summer Thunder will have all sportsman categories competing with a Jet Car feature.
The sportsman series will return to Willowbank Raceway in the New Year on January 5 for New Year’s Thunder and will be the first of the Willowbank split rounds only hosting Competition, Competition Bike, Top Sportsman, Modified, Super Street and Pro Radial to compete alongside a professional bracket program.
On January 19th Sydney Dragway will hold a Sportsman Series event featuring all brackets.
It will be back to Willowbank on Good Friday, April 19 for Santo’s Super Thunder for the second part of the Willowbank split round for brackets that did not compete at the January 5 event. The event will also feature Top Fuel, Pro Alcohol and Top Bike.
The Nitro Thunder event at Sydney Dragway will be the second half of the Sydney split round featuring Competition, Competition Bike, Top Sportsman, Modified and Super Street along with all professional categories on May 3 and 4.
400 Thunder Sportsman Series concludes at the 52nd Winternationals on June 6 to 9.
