Sydney Dragway has announced they are planning to continue their track championship and street meets while meeting the Federal Government’s ban on organised events of over 500 people.
Sydney Dragway issued the following statement:
With the recent developments around the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation, events at Sydney Dragway will be affected due to the Government issued ban on organised events of over 500 people.
Please remember that we are a large open air venue without sustained one-on-one contact. However, in keeping with the advice from the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) there will be changes to some of our events in the immediate future.
We have positioned hand sanitiser and wipes at the Entry Gate, Race Registration and in Scrutineering for all racers and officials and encourage our customers to observe the social distancing protocols that have been issued by the Australian Government.

RACE 4 REAL
For the immediate future Race 4 Real will be for Competitors and limited spectators only. This policy will be in effect from APR Euro Night presented by German Performance, this Wednesday, 18 March.
Entries will be strictly limited to the first 500 people into to the venue. For competitors, we will be opening entries online to ensure that you can reserve your position without fear of missing out.
ATURA NSW CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES ROUND 2 – 21 March, 2020
We will be proceeding with this event (provided a minimum number of entries are received) with some changes to the attendance structure.
This event will not be open to spectators. Crew numbers will be reduced in some categories, if required, in order to maintain the 500-person limit. This will be finalised at the close of entries, but we expect each category to have at least two crew in addition to the driver or rider.
We will provide another update to entrants in the coming days as the event draws closer.
