Queensland’s Leahy family have taken so many cars on to the drag strip that it is difficult to keep up, but Peter Leahy’s new altered is one that looks like it will stick in the mind!
The Fiat Topolino-bodied altered was brought into the country by Leahy via his Peter Leahy Custom Imports business and is being prepared to join the ranks of Supercharged Outlaws at Willowbank Raceway.
Up front is a 526ci TFX Hemi, running a SSI 14-71 supercharger, a 44amp magneto and a three-speed B&J transmission with a converter drive.
“We are hoping to run 6.3s to 6.5s at 210-220mph,” Leahy said.
