New livery for the S&S Motorsports Team did not help Katherine Sichter qualify for what turned out to be Australia’s quickest ever Top Alcohol field at the Castrol Edge Winternationals.
Nothing was different for the team; the car has displayed impeccable driving manners but decided that qualifying at the Winternationals was not in its game plan!
Damaged reversers, overpowering the track and other minor issues lost the teams opportunity to qualify in the toughest Top Alcohol field ever, but Katherine was circumspect – “We would have needed to improve our personal best by over a tenth of a second in order to qualify and that doesn’t come quickly,” she said.
With the 2010 race season now officially over, Katherine is now looking forward to testing and looking for the extra numbers to make the Spitzer dragster more competitive.
Those sponsor arrangements that were mentioned are still being finalised, so it is all go for the 2011 race season in ANDRA Pro Series Top Alcohol with Katherine Sichter and the S&S Motorsports Trailer Sales team!
