Danny Costello’s first round loss at the Westernationals may have been soothed by the knowledge of a new world record for Top Alcohol Altereds.
The Rory Taylor-tuned altered hit a 5.633 at 241mph, with the speed slightly affected as the engine torched through the traps.
There aren’t too many full blown methanol spec altereds in the world (in fact, most of them are in Australia), but this is a really cool record to have!
