Ballistic Drag Racing is pleased to welcome Powerplus Racing Fuels to our BB/CB competition bike outfit in 2012.
Powerplus specialises in racing fuels and has developed a succession of high performance fuels that have been proven under International race conditions for the Australian market.
“Powerplus spend time with race teams on dynos and with their vehicles at the track.” says team owner Rob Cassar.
Powerplus fuels are custom designed to deliver high performance with less pollution and is on the ANDRA homologated fuel list. Powerplus fuels are available from Ballistic Drag Racing.
What does season 2012 have in store for Ballistic?
“With plenty of time between meetings we have replaced just about all of the major components on the bike including a new fuel pump and new ignition,” says Cassar.
“We have some impressive runs already on the board including a 7.71sec run at the March meeting in Queensland last year with a 1.12 sixty foot,”
“Unfortunately shortly after we had some troubles with the set up, with tyre shake and breaking cases, and were unable to repeat the performance,”
“With some test sessions at Calder Park in recent weeks we are back where we need to be with some 7.80s on a soft tune,” Cassar continues
“Once we turn up the wick we should be running on the record with 1.10 sixty foot and 7.50 ET at 175mph- fingers crossed.”
“With Powerplus Race fuels on board this season adding to the other great support we get, we will be doing some kilometres in the next few months,”
“We are travelling to Qld Willowbank Raceway for the 21st January meeting and then heading West for the Western Nationals for our first time. With tough competitors in the West we are hoping to qualify and go some rounds.”
“Back home for a week or two before heading to Western Sydney for the March ANDRA Pro Series Rocket Allstar event. We will be travelling a lot of kilometres- but that’s racing when living in Victoria.” Cassar concludes
In between races Ballistic Performance Parts will be trading at the Island Classic held in Phillip Island Victoria, one of the biggest Vintage road racing events in Australia. The team are looking forward to a successful rest of the season.
