Australian Top Doorslammer competitor Sean Mifsud has always liked a car different from the rest.
Mifsud’s outside the square race car attraction is well known through his previous ride the “Wild Willy”, the only 1941 USA built Willys to campaign the tough Australian Top Doorslammer championship.
“The Willy’s was only one to ever win an ANDRA National Series round, the prestigious 16 car field at Willowbank Raceway against all the country had to offer,” said Mifsud.
“It was always a crowd favourite and a fun car to drive, always living up to the name and reputation of Wild Willy!,” he said.
With the bracket becoming increasingly so tough to compete in, it was a hard decision for Mifsud to park the aerodynamically challenged Willys in favour of a sleeker design.
Therefore the rumours have now been confirmed and a state of the art Andy McCoy 1970 Duster is on its way.
Mike Janis and Sean Mifsud have entered a joint venture and the JAN-CEN Duster will be campaigned by Mifsud in Australia.
The JAN-CEN/McCoy built Duster features the latest in chassis technology and will be fitted with a JAN-CEN monster power plant. Mike Janis will be working very close with the team to ensure they create the maximum possible horsepower from the combination and The Rollup Racing team is very excited to strengthen their relationship with Mike Janis and the JAN-CEN racing team.
The duster is scheduled to arrive in Australia late February or early March and the team hopes to be out doing some testing soon after to prepare the JAN-CEN duster for ANDRA Pro Series competition.
