Popular former Junior Dragster racer Daniel Carranza, well known for his ‘Batdan’ dragster has been very busy licensing a Super Comp dragster in the U.S. in recent days.

At Formoso Dragway on the 20th Marchm Carranza successfully completed his licensing in the Super Comp dragster. As Daniel’s Junior career was coming to an end, Dad, Mum and Daniel decided to start looking for a bigger car.

A few calls were made to some friends in the States to look out for a hot rod, with Daniel wanting to stick with a dragster. It wasn’t long before their good friend Cameron Ferré in California found a Super Comp dragster and he was invited to go for his NHRA licence in March, and have some runs at some race meets. “Hell yes, I was stoked to be taking the next step and licensing in a Super Comp dragster,” beamed Carranza.

Carranza will first be driving for Team Bayer in competition at the Spring Fling in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks.

The Batdan team have also purchased a car which has already been wrapped in the team livery ahead of it returning to Australia to Modified duties.

“I couldn’t have done it with the help from my sponsors -TileCo, Lee Meehan Roofing, JTR Trailer Fabrications, Penrite Oils, DraftMode Design, Costanzo Automotive repairs, Vinyl Wraps & graphics, Gold Coast edge protection, Cameron Ferre, Kevin & Mike Motter and Camilleri family,” concluded Carranza.
