Aeroflow Performance Products and the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) are proud to announce that Aeroflow will be the new naming rights sponsor for the ANDRA Sportsman Drag Racing Series.
Formerly known as the Rocket Allstars Racing Series, the series will now be known as the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.
The partnership with Rocket paid out some $300,000 to racers over six seasons and Aeroflow Performance Products managing director Graeme Cowin said he was thrilled about the announcement for the new branding of the series.
“For six years we have sponsored the ANDRA sportsman series through the Rocket Allstar Racing Series and we felt that Rocket had reached its maximum exposure through having the naming rights of the series so the time was right for Aeroflow to take over the naming rights,” Cowin said. “With the rebranding of the series to the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship we feel that this brings even more prestige for racers and on behalf of everybody at Aeroflow I would like to wish all the participants the best of luck for the season.”
The Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship starts at the Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway on November 2, 2012 and will almost double the amount of tracks it attends this year including Portland (VIC), Alice Springs (NT), Benaraby (NQ) and Mildura (VIC).
ANDRA CEO Malcolm Bulley said the support of Rocket had been instrumental in growing the sportsman series and with Aeroflow now coming onboard opportunities for sportsman racers would continue to increase.
“The expansion of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship this season into new markets is exciting for many of our members who will now have opportunities to score national points,” he said. “We thank Aeroflow Performance Products for taking up the naming rights to the series and look forward to working with them to promote it around the country.
