Maurice Allen says with a busy off season completed he is keen to launch his championship assault in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
Allen debuted a new Milwaukee Tools Suzuki in the last round of the season and expects some solid performances to come from the state-of-the-art motorcycle when the championship begins at the Australian Nationals on November 2-4.
“The new PMFR Chassis that the team has purchased is current spec out of the USA,” he said. “The new chassis has allowed us to move the motor forward another 4.5 inches which translates to far better weight transfer, particularly noticed in the 60 foot zone.
“We have always had the horsepower as evidenced by the high speeds the team can consistently run however have been a bit soft in the 60 foot area and this new chassis will certainly help there as we have already seen by running some shakedown passes on the bike.
“The components on the bike are much lighter than the last and as a result we are able to position some ballast in strategic areas to really maximise the dynamics that this new chassis can offer.”
Included in the equipment is a full carbon fibre body, titanium bolts and mounts and lightened wheels and brakes.
“The clutch tune up should suit this new bike in delivering the all important 60 foot times we are chasing to go low sevens,” he said. “We also have Bell helmets on board who have given us some new cabron fibre helmets that look amazing as well as some new Alpinestar products which is also about weight reduction and streamlining down the track.”
“With Milwaukee Tools, ERC Fuels, Motul Oil, Rocket, Pingel, Vance & Hines and Genovese Coffee we are hoping to put our best foot forward this season.”
