Following the crippling theft at APM, a recovery is being created to help the Hambridge’s recover their business and customer losses.
“Dear All, I’m coordinating a financial recovery fund for good people that have been screwed pretty hard.
A number of businesses and individuals have contacted me thus week to say they wanted to help the Hambridge family / APM after their burglary that saw more than $300k of engines, parts, tools and racing equipment stolen.
The majority of this figure is made up of customer parts. Plenty has been said about the matter but what should be noted is the family’s commitment to honour each and every deal, relationship and quote given and to replace every part they feel responsible for.
More decent racers, business owners and people you will not find and it would be a tragedy for Australian racing and for the industry if the business were to fold. Plenty would cry “it’s all too hard” and close the doors but Steve, Aaron and Carol refuse to be beaten or to leave their customers out in the cold.
Those wishing to help financially should contact me directly on 2rismo@tpg.com.au for further info. Please circulate this notice as widely as possible and thanks to all who have contributed so far.
