Atlantic Oils and Sydney Dragway ink new partnership

Sydney Dragway and Atlantic Oils are pleased to announce that from 2019, Atlantic Oils will become the naming rights partner of the East Coast Thunder to be held in November at the iconic Sydney venue.

It is the first time that Atlantic Oils has entered a naming rights partnership, after 7 years of associate sponsorship on the multi-car Top Fuel team of Rapisarda Autosport International and the JSS Racing Pro Slammer team of Sam Fenech, amongst others.

The agreement will see the event to be known as the Atlantic Oils East Coast Thunder for 2019, with a significant corporate commitment from Atlantic Oils to become one of the cornerstones of their brand awareness program for the coming years. The company expects to host in excess of 1000 guests at the event which is one of the showpieces of the Sydney Dragway Calendar.

Atlantic Oils Managing Director, Steve Kalamvokis, said today, “We have been impressed with the growth of Sydney Dragway and the 400 Thunder Series over the past few seasons. Being involved at a team level with the Rapisarda family and others has shown us just how exciting Drag Racing can be, and we can’t wait to showcase it on a massive scale to our customers, distributors and employees at the Atlantic Oils East Coast Thunder next season.”

The Atlantic Oils East Coast Thunder, to be held over the first weekend in November, will see the biggest names in drag racing go head-to-head in an attempt to win one of the most prestigious races in Australian drag racing.

The partnership includes traditional sponsorship elements such as naming rights and signage, and unique event activation initiatives such as money-can’t-buy Top Fuel start line experiences, corporate hospitality alongside the Rapisarda Autosport International Top Fuel teams in their pit area, and trade based incentives for customers and distributors of Atlantic Oils.
