Sunraysia Drag Racing Association (SDRA) has revealed Mildura’s Sunset Strip will now be known as the Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip for 2024.
In a time when facility and event sponsors are becoming harder and harder to obtain, being able to acquire a strong long-term sponsor is like a breath of fresh air. This is the case for the regional Victorian venue when it comes to Atlantic Oils and Sunraysia Drag Racing Association, every year that Atlantic Oils has been on board they have increased their involvement at the Sunset Strip, and this year is no different with Atlantic Oils coming on board as facility naming sponsor for 2024.
Atlantic Oils originally came on board just sponsoring the Easter Supercharged Shootout and since then, every year they have increased what has been given out to winners and runner ups. Last year Atlantic Oils increased their track sponsorship by placing a large amount of signage on the inside of the track walls near the start line and just past the 60-foot mark.
With Atlantic Oils being facility naming sponsor for 2024 they will further increase their track signage, including some additional signage placed around the facility plus increasing funds given to projects and events over the year.
Suzanne Lazar, Drag Racing Sponsorship for Atlantic Oils stated, “It is always a special time of the year for me to be in Mildura at Easter.”
“The Atlantic Oils Easter Supercharged Shootout is an excellent event to be enjoyed by all who participate. The past two years that we have sponsored the event has bought awareness and interest to our company brand that it has not normally had in this region. Atlantic Oils feels privileged to sponsor this event.”
Steve Kalamvokis, Managing Director of Atlantic Oil, also thanked Kingsley for the work put in between Atlantic Oils and SDRA to make this happen added, “It is a huge honour to be track naming rights of the Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip, Mildura. Atlantic Oils enjoys supporting this regional track and the hospitality that comes with it.”

SDRA representative Kingsley Kuchel said. “Sponsorship deals such as this take quite a lot of time and effort and are not just decided overnight, so it is a pleasure to see it all come through in the end.
“Adding to the naming rights we are pleased to announce we have committed Atlantic Oils to extending sponsorship of our Easter event and track signage further four years to the end of December 2027.”
