MR 10.5 NO MORE: FRANK MAMONE BACK IN BLACK COMEBACK

It was one of the wildest drag cars in the country and the OG of the 10.5 movement, Frank Mamone’s black and blown Chevy Nova was an instant hit on tracks around the country. Now after a decade since the Nova terrorised dragstrips and timing cones, Mamone has re-taken ownership of the iconic machine and is planning his comeback.

SWAN HILL DRAGWAY BACK ON TRACK

After the recent decision by Swan Hill Rural City Council to not lease Swan Hill Dragway to the Skid City Consortium, the council has since backflipped with one Councillor calling an unscheduled meeting to change his voting decision. As a result, the council now intends to grant the consortium a lease on the site so drag racing can return to the venue.

A full day of action-packed qualifying for round two of the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship at the Sunset Nationals has come to a close ahead of what is sure to be a thrilling day of racing on Sunday. Racers across ten championship brackets took to Mildura’s Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip Saturday to set the stage for Sunday’s racing (September 22).
