The Stuart Bishop Racing crew have headed home disappointed after competing at the 39th Annual Goldenstates for round two of ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer at Perth Motorplex.
“It was amazing to be competing in a field of 22 cars,” said Stuart Bishop. “It would be fantastic if all teams competed nationally as there were 10 WA based teams in the field. We also always enjoy heading to the Motorplex as it is a great facility and we love seeing our WA fans.”
Friday night’s qualifying session concluded with the team entering into seventh position in the field for Saturday’s eliminations.
“We felt quite positive and excited to have gotten through such a large field of cars,” Bishop said. “The team and I decided that we were going to go into eliminations giving it a full go.”
Unfortunately the burst panel on the supercharger blew off and halted the chances of proceeding into round two eliminations.
“The team and I were obviously very disappointed,” Bishop said. “It goes to show though that you need a mix of a great team, a great car and a lot of luck. The crew at Stuart Bishop Racing did an amazing job as always.”
