Robert Campisi spearheaded the turbo revolution in Australian drag racing some years back, and now he is ready to ride again with a brand new Ford Mustang built by Craig Burns at SCF Racecars.
Campisi’s last turbo Mustang was the first five second turbo car in Australia and the fastest in the world outright. At a time when the ProLine 481X is the weapon of choice in the turbo ranks, Campisi is sticking with a reurbished Moran Race Engines 670ci Hemi that recently smashed out 5295hp and 3800ft lbs of torque, with twin 106mm GTX5544R GENII huffers – and that is not at peak RPM.

The final tweaks are being made to the engine before it is shipped backed to Australia and dropped between the Mustang’s frame rails ahead of its debut at Sydney Dragway later in the year.
