It was a day of trial and tribulations, substantial down time due to rain and a high number of breakages at Sydney Dragway’s July test and tune ahead of the first round of the track championship next weekend.
One thing made clear was the desperate need from racers for more test and tunes.

Dobbo never got down the track in the Rapisarda Funnycar, depsite sounding great in warmup, ignition gremilins popped up when the car was fired in the burnout box
Chad Taylor had a rear gearbox seal blow out ending his day
Chris Stipanovich’s Funnycar bares the wounds from a earlier run, but clocked a 5.5 @ 271 to claim first part of his license, before dropping a header at the finish

Reece Melenewycz had Edwin Archbold’s Mustang doorslammer on track for the first time in a long time, the car has been completley rebuilt to meet current specs.
