Queensland’s premier drag racing facility is set for a Mad March with no less than three events to hit the Willowbank Raceway quarter-mile over the next three weekends.

Three-time ANDRA Top Bike champion Chris Matheson is set to hit Willowbank Raceway later this month (29-30 March) in pursuit of becoming the first ever ‘five second’ nitro-powered bike pilot in Australia.

Eliminations for the 42nd Westernationals started last Sunday with a magnificent day and by 6pm the temperature had dipped to 25 degrees C (77.f F) with 66% humidity and 1900ft corrected air.

                                          The Santo’s Cranes Super 3 Extreme Drag Race at Willowbank Raceway will play host to NHRA royalty later this month when three-time NHRA Top Fuel champion Larry Dixon and renowned crew chief Lee Beard jet ‘down under’ to join the Rapisarda International Autosport team at the 29-30 March event.

Victor Bray has enjoyed a finals appearance as three generations of the Bray family took to the Perth Motorplex over the weekend for the Westernationals event.

ANDRA Top Doorslammer points leader Peter Kapiris has extended his championship gap, taking a win at the 42nd annual Westernationals at Perth Motorplex.

The west turned on perfect weather for their biggest event on the calendar – the 42nd Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex. Seventeen teams turned up for Round Three of the ANDRA Top Doorslammer Championship, with anticipation of some tight racing.
