With the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship and Australian Drag Racing Championship firing up for their next round at the 52nd Mac Track Westernationals this weekend in Perth, here is another massive gallery from the last event to get everyone pumped.
PremiAir Racing’s pursuit of a third consecutive Australian Top Fuel Championship continues this week, with the team travelling 8,000 kilometres (round trip) to the Perth Motorplex for what will amount to 20 seconds of racing at the Westernationals this Saturday and Sunday (March 4/5).
It is a new year for the Queensland Drag Racing Championship at Willowbank Raceway, but not a new season for the series. With the exception of Junior Dragster, the decision was made for the QDRC to continue of from last year after many of the rounds were lost to weather.
Veteran Pro Stock driver Shane Tucker will represent UrPay, an Australian-owned payment processing company, throughout the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series as a brand ambassador. Beginning with the historic NHRA Amalie Motor Oil Gatornationals, March 9-12, Tucker, who also hails from Australia will host VIP motorsports guests and potential clients throughout the NHRA season in the UrPay Finish Line Lounge adjacent to his Pro Stock pit. Tucker’s 210 mph Pro Stock Chevrolet Camaro will also be adorned in UrPay branding throughout the season.
Maurice Brennan’s Top Doorslammer cuts a different figure to most of his ADRC Top Doorslammer competitors, but it is one that is hugely popular with a large segment of Australian drag racing and motorsport fans who hold the Holden Commodore close to their hearts.
Brian Alvisio is heading to the Perth Motorplex for this weekend’s Westernationals/ANDRA Grand Finals on the 300 points cap thanks to his third finals appearance of the 2022/2023 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series at the Twilight Nationals.
Hydraulink Jim Read Racing is heading to this weekend’s MAC Track Westernationals tied for second in the Burson Auto Parts Australian Top Fuel Championship, after top qualifying and going all the way to the A-Final at the last round.
The much hyped No Prep Kings Street Outlaws production has arrived in Australia with 10 American stars and their cars making the trip over for four televised events across the country.
The Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series’ most awarded competitor, Craig Geddes, is leading the way in the Competition ranks as the series heads to its final round of the season at the Perth Motorplex across March 4 and 5, but he is not without strong competition.
