Qualifying and early eliminations are well underway at the Winternationals, even if it was brought to an early end by some rain at the end of Saturday night.

Darren Morgan Racing has launched a world first Top Fuel Simulator at the Castrol EDGE Winternationals today in conjunction with Castrol EDGE.

It is a matter of hours before the biggest drag racing event outside of the US, the 2011 Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland, and the Northern Territory is going to be well represented in a variety of categories.

Top Doorslammer drag racer, Robin Judd, is looking to finish the 2010-2011 (Australian National Drag Racing Association) ANDRA Pro Series the same way he started, with a win.

American Top Fuel racer, Cory McClenathan, is eager to win Australia’s most prestigious drag race event, the Winternationals, to be held at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich, this weekend (Friday-Monday, June 10-13).  

For Aaron Tremayne, the 2011 Castrol EDGE Winternationals, held on the Queen’s Birthday Long weekend (June 10 – 13), is going to be a weekend of focus, a weekend where the team would like to make eight solid runs to win the event, which will once again allow Aaron to lay claim to the most coveted prize in ANDRA Pro Series Pro Stock drag racing.

Brisbane’s Reddacliff Place was transformed into a nitro fan’s dream today when a taste of the Castrol EDGE Winternationals came to the city – ahead of tomorrow’s first day of the 44th Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway.

Current Porsche Carrera Cup Championship leader – Steve Richards is preparing for an altogether different challenge – he will be taking a Porsche Turbo road car onto the Willowbank Raceway quarter mile drag strip to race against a fully-fledged ANDRA Pro Stock racer at the Castrol EDGE Winternationals (June 10-13).

Powercruise has joined forces with Crossroads Racing for this weekend’s Castrol Edge Winternationals prior to taking their show to the USA for the first time this July.
