Hydraulink Jim Read Racing has broken through for the Westernationals double at the Perth Motorplex at the weekend, backing up their 2023 victory at the event over Peter Xiberras with a 2024 win over Phil Lamattina.
Last year Hydraulink Jim Read Racing took home the A-Final Top Fuel victory at the Perth Motorplex’s Westernationals – now the team is on their way to hopefully ‘do the double’ at the the 2024 running of the event this weekend (March 2-3).
NHRA Top Fuel Motorcycle champion, TV star and lauded bike builder Mike Beland will be doing all he can to snatch a NDRC Christmas Tree trophy from the Aussies at this weekend’s Westernationals.
The 2023/2024 NDRC Top Doorslammer season has been one for the rookies and debutant Andrew Cole will be hoping he can cash in on some of the rookie’s luck we have seen this season when he makes his debut at the Perth Motorplex’s Westernationals next weekend (March 2-3).
Top Fuel rookie Kyle Putland couldn’t be more excited about the fact the next round of the NDRC Top Fuel Championship will be held at his home track of the Perth Motorplex.
“We eagerly anticipate Brodie’s progression in Supercharged Outlaws. The Zappia family legacy is deeply intertwined with Top Doorslammer, and it’s no secret that Brodie will eventually join me in a dual Doorslammer team. In a strong return to form, Phil Lamattina piloted the FUCHS Lubricants Top Fuel Dragster to a B-Final win at the Saltwood @ Rosedale Australia Day Nationals at Sydney Dragway and recorded the quickest elapsed time of the event with a 3.818.
The Saltwood @ Rosedale Australia Day Nationals was set to host two rounds of championship racing for Top Fuel at Sydney Dragway this weekend (January 26/27), however only one has been completed with no racing held on day two due to wet weather.
This Friday and Saturday (January 26 and 27), PremiAir Racing will do all it can to open its 2024 in the best way possible – by taking home event-winning NDRC Christmas Tree trophies –at Sydney Dragway’s Australia Day Nationals.
