The below rule change has been rescinded by ANDRA, as per ANDRA regulations ANDRA must provide 28 days notice of any rule change. Therefore the 32 car field restrictions will apply for this years Winternationals.

ANDRA has approved a removal of the 32 car field restriction on Supercharged Outlaws for the Fuchs Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway.

This has been done in the interests of fairness and common sense to all competitors.

A rule applying to Group Three that pre-qualifies championship contenders from each division in their brackets has produced a unique situation this season where segments of the field are almost full already.

Supercharged Outlaws qualifying is based on the top 16 open cars and top 16 sedans. Because 12 open cars have already pre-qualified, this results in a situation where 15 other entrants would have been turning up with a chance at only four spots.

The changes means that there is now an additional round of racing for Supercharged Outlaws, which will replace the third qualifying session.

ANDRA will be making moves to change the rules permanently next season.
