With the prestigious 2010 ANDRA Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway fast approaching Mildura based Top Fuel Team, Darren Morgan Racing (DMR) has made an exciting announcement confirming that KENNARDS HIRE has come on board as a major associate sponsor of the AEG POWERTOOLS Top Fuel dragster for the 2010/11 season.
With a field of 12 Top Fuel cars entered it will be one of the toughest events in recent years but the new association with KENNARDS may just provide DMR with the advantage that is required to start their Championship chase in the best possible fashion.
“Kennards Hire has over 60 years experience in the equipment hire industry and during this time it has remained an entirely Australian owned family business. Currently Kennards has over 100 branches in most states, so you are sure to find a store that is close to your location. We are very excited to be working with Kennards” said Morgan.
“Darren Morgan and his team are one of the most professional teams in Australian Drag Racing. We are very happy to support Darren and make his pursuit of the national title easier” said Wendy Hooke, Kennards National Marketing Manager. “It’s also our mission to make our customers’ jobs easier. When new and better equipment is developed, we buy it, so you can hire it. Our rigorous cleaning, servicing and testing ensures that our customers hire reliable, efficient equipment so they can get on with the job”
With less than two weeks before the opening round of the ANDRA Australian Top Fuel Championship Team Owner and Driver Darren Morgan and the entire Team can’t wait and they are very excited about new season. “All the teams are stepping up this year and so are we. DMR is looking to achieve more consistency and faster times. We are gunning for the championship, as a driver I have won it before but I really want to win with my own team and sponsors” added a determined Darren Morgan recently.
In further team news Car Chief Ben Patterson has recently returned home from the USA after a six week tour on the NHRA circuit over the Australian Winter. During his time overseas he worked with two of the NHRA’s best drivers including 4 weeks working on Melanie Troxel’s IN-N-OUT Burger Funny Car Team and a fortnight with Morgan Lucas Racing, helping to turn the spanners on his Top Fuel Dragster. “I have learnt a lot after working with two extremely professional outfits and we have a few new components and ideas that we will be using to help us in our bid at the 2010/11 Championship” he added shortly after returning to his Melbourne base.
DMR will officially start their 2010/11 ANDRA season this Sunday with an all important pre-season test session at the Sydney Dragway.
