The two days of testing this weekend at Perth Motorplex have seen over 180 pre-entries across the two days.
150 different teams will be racing across the weekend with 33 of those choosing to race on both days.
Included amongst this group is just about the entire contingent of Top Doorslammers in the State including John Zappia, Robin Judd, Daniel Gregorini, Pino Priolo, Marty Dack, Murray O’Connor and Maurice Brennan. That’s a full eight car field!
Judd will be testing a new engine combo to stay among the front runners.
“Trying the new BAE 521 combo and Noonan X1 heads. It won’t quite be the same as the old KB 511 Brad 5 heads deal has been good to us but we need to keep moving forward, the Top Doorslammer bracket is just too competitive to stand still, even for 5.7 seconds!” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Shane Weston will be upgrading his licence to Top Alcohol spec and Rob Pilkington will be getting some testing in with his Funny Car too.
