- Steve Aldridge and his Plymouth Barracuda Top Doorslammer. Steve purchased this car in an unusual way, taking it home from his opponent after racing against it at the Westernationals four years ago! Now it is a 5.7 second contender in the WA Summer Slam Series.
- Chris Daniel’s blown Ford XB Top Sportsman coupe. What started as a much simpler build got a whole lot more horsepower when Chris got some bad news. He was told he had a time limit on life, so he was going to take it to the max. We’re happy to report the news has since got much better – and the car remains a beast!
- Ray Xerri’s supercharged Holden Six-powered altered. A long time in the making (14 years in fact) this beautiful altered is a retro feast, from its straight-six mill to the hot rod-styled body.
- Lorenzo Gullotto’s twin turbo, big block Chev Ford Mustang. After tearing it up in his Drag Challenge-busting, seven-second Holden Commodore, Lorenzo has moved on to getting serious with radial tyres. There’s no shortage of power, but can he get it to the ground at Perth Motorplex’s slick-favourable track?
- Lance Warren, the new owner of Heathcote Park Raceway. Lance has some amazing plans, and has already produced some great results at the historic Bendigo venue. We talk with Lance about the future of the track!
- Veteran photographer Jon Van Daal returns with even more retro doorslammer pics showcasing Australian blown sedan history.
