John Faraone might run WA plates but sightings of his Valiant Charger on its home soil are rare, especially at the track.
Faraone has spent years taking the car back and forth from Australia to the USA, where he competes in Hot Rod Drag Week, a gruelling test of man and machine that requires racers to compete at five tracks in five days, driving their car in between them all with only a trailer for support.
Faraone is on the entry list for Perth Motorplex’s Nitro Night, coming up this Saturday and entered in the Outlaw Radial class, meaning he may need to tame the normally big-tyre Charger down somewhat.
Tamed down or not, we expect this car to be firmly in the seven second zone even on radials and look forward to seeing it as part of the growing radial movement out west.
