The all-new Shannons Queensland Autospectacular has been hailed a success by organisers, with Willowbank Raceway playing host to a wide array of enthusiasts at the weekend.
Following the same format as the popular former Cleveland Auto Spectacular – which was the largest car and bike show and swap meet of its kind in the state – the all-new event featured vehicles of all makes, models and ages on display amongst a whole range of activities for enthusiasts, including competitions and test and tune action for show entrants.
Event organizer Brian Hall said he was very pleased with the turnout at the event.
“For the first year I am certainly very happy with how everything went, it was a very good event,” said Hall.
“We had a very strong turnout from both the spectators and the show participants, and there was a great atmosphere in play on the day which we were really happy about.
“The support and the feedback we have received from the traders, sponsors, fans and show participants has been very strong and enthusiastic, and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves on the day.”
Proceeds from the Shannons Queensland Autospectacular benefited local community groups including the Ipswich Mayor’s Flood Appeal, Ipswich Hospice, Angel Flight and the Ipswich Scouts. The Shannons Queensland Autospectacular would like to thank major sponsors Shannons Insurance, City of Ipswich, Titan Garages and Sheds, Ross Llewellyn Motors, Cruzin’ and Gasoline Magazines.
