Crew chief with Lamattina Top Fuel Racing Theo Pavlomanolakos will be leaving the team at the end of this season to spend more time with his family and business.

Theo sent through the following statement to Drag News.

“Since being involved in Top Fuel racing, LTFR (Lamattina Top Fuel Racing) have won two championships and run the fastest pass outside of North America at 333.33mph, my business Pavtek has also serviced all of LTFR’s components completely in-house with nothing going back to the US. I also manufactured completely in-house at Pavtek my own version of Top Fuel billet cylinder heads which LTFR have been using.

While I am proud of my accomplishments in Top Fuel racing I must also say that my methodical approach to racing, managing all of the team’s operations, the late nights and extensive hours have taken its toll.

Just before the Perth meeting (January, 28 2011) I informed the Lamattina family that this will be my last season with LTFR. I plan to complete the season for the Lamattina family, my team mates, our sponsors and fans, but after the Winternationals I plan to move my focus back to my business Pavtek Engines and also hope to spend some quality time with my family which I haven’t had much of over the last five years.

I would like to thank the Lamattina family, my team mates, the fans and all of our team sponsors for their support over the years.

I am still very passionate about drag racing and hope in the future to still be involved, but only time will tell in what capacity.

Theo Pav

LTFR Crew Chief”
