After suffering a devastating flood earlier this year, the Portland drag racing community are in high spirits after it was announced that major track works are nearing completion and a return to racing will happen in November.
“It has taken a little longer than hoped to make a start, after suffering from some fairly major damage after the big floods in Portland a few months back, but all should be right to go for the start of the new season.“ said South Coast Racing Association President Chris Farrell.
“As a warm up to the season opener we will be conducting a burnout day on the 2nd of November 2013.” he continued.
“Our official first Drag racing meeting will be the opening round on the 9th of November 2013. This will be a Chicago shootout style event so that everyone will get a min of 6 runs for the day.” he concluded.
