The 2023 Sydney Jamboree is go! After a false start earlier in the year, being forced to change dates due to other events, the racers and their cars are probably appreciating the cooler conditions a Jambo in May brings.

The proof of that is on the time boards with some cracking quick passes. Quickest pass overall in testing was on Thursday with Frank Tarabay in the GAS Racing 2J powered Lexus cranking out a 5.89 at 241MPH. On Friday, topping the clocks the quickest was Peter Lovering in the blown Shoebox ’55 with a 6.06 that will be racing in Pro Mod. Collin Willshire was the quickest of the imports smacking down a 6.17 from the four-cylinder Eclipse, his best ever ET. Lowlight was Puerto Rican hired gun Camilo ‘BadBunny’ Velez driving Tony Grgich’s ‘GHOST’ RX3 have a big accident on the top end, barrel rolling every times, fortunately he was unharmed in the incident.
