One of the coolest events Australian drag racing has ever seen is ready to hit Sydney Dragway today, with the Aeroflow World Fuel Altered Challenge ready to rumble.
Yesterday saw teams setting up in preparation for the huge event, which has ten AA/FAs doing battle over the quarter mile. Famed cars such as Rat Trap and Pure Hell have been brought down under to compete against Aeroflow’s own stable of nitro burning hot rods.
Rat Trap was the only AA/FA to make a check out pass, performing an early shut down run to shake out any shipping container gremlins.
While the altereds are going to have much of the attention today, they could be upstaged by a huge Gasser class, with over 30 entries ready to duke it out. They will be joined by a range of support brackets including Pro Extreme, as well as Chris Matheson’s Top Fuel Motorcycle attempting the first five second run on two wheels in Australia.
If you are anywhere near the Sydney area, this event is a must see, so get yourself out to the track today to witness these drag racing legends live.
